RACING.

MARLBOROUGH RACING CLUB. AUTUMN MEETING. The programme of the Autumn Meeting of the Marlborough Racing Club is advertised in another column. This popular meeting is announced to take place on the Riverlands Racecourse, on May Bth and 9th, and the programme of events drawn up is a most attractive one. Eight events •will be run each day, the first day's including the Marlborough Cup of 150 sovs, Flying Handicap of 80 sovs, the Opawa Welter Hack, Autumn Hack and Electric Hack Handicap of 60 sovs each. The chief events on the second day are the President's Handicap of 100 sovs, Telegraph Handicap of 80 sovs, and four others of 60 sovs each. Nominations close for all races on Saturday, April 20th at the Secretary's (Mr C. J. W. Griffiths) office, Blenheim, at 9 p.m. WAIRARAPA ACCEPTANCES. Acceptances for the first day's handicaps at the Wairarapa Racing Club's Autumn Meetmg, on Saturday and Monday next, will close with the Secretary (Mr E. A. Laery), Featherston, at 8 o'clock to-night. C.J.C. MEETING. CHRISTCHURCH, March 25. Cross Battery has been scratched for all engagements at the C.J.C. Autumn Meeting.
