PREVENTED BY A NEW APPARATUS. Received March 25, 8.43 a.m. LONDON, March 24. Sir William White reports that Schlock's gyreoscopic apparatus extinguishes the rolling motion of ships. (Nothing has been previously cabled recording this remarkable invention. Sir William White's achievements as Chief Constructor to the Admiralty, and in other departments of marine draughtsmanship and construction, give this pronouncement the highest authority).
