THE LATE COUNT LAMSDORFF. Received March,22, 10 a.m. LONDON, March 21. Count Lamsdorff, whose death was recently reported, succumbed to heart disease. SUEZ CANAL BLOCKED. Received March 22, 10 a.m. PORT SAID, March 21. The Dutch liner Rindgani got badly ashore at Kabra, and blocked the Suez Canal for a- day. The canal is now clear. POLAR EXPLORATION. Received March 22, 8.3 a.m. NEW YORK, March 21. Nikkelsen's Anglo-American Polar expedition, in the schooner Duchess of Bedford, is frozen up 200 miles off Port Barrow, Alaska. Preparations are being completed to explore the unknown country to the north. There are indications of the existencce of a large island not far distant from the mainland. NEW ZEALAND MAILS. Received March 22, 8.3 a.m. LONDON, March 21. The Post Office notifies that the mails to New Zealand are at present despatched only via Suez. FISCAL SYSTEM. Received March 22, 10.4 p.m. LONDON, March 22. At a special meeting of the London Chamber of Commerce it was resolved, by a large majority, that the fiscal aystem is no longer suitable for the needs of the country. THE TROUBLE IN CENTRAL AMERICA. Received March 22, 10.4 p.m. NEW YORK, March 22. The United States gunboat Marietta has landed marines at Honduras for the protection of American interests.
