Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report as follows on their Pahiatua sale fteld in their Pahiatua yards on Tuesday, 19th inst.:—Owing to the flooded state of the rivers vendors who had entered their sheep were unable to get them in, still we had a very fair entry. Bidding under the hammer was a bit slack as several :settlers who wanted sheep stated that they did not know when they would be able to get them home. We managed to quit all lines except one small pen of hoggets. We quote : Two-tooth ewes to 16s Id, ewes ■(medium quality) 9s 3d to lis, lambs :to 9s lOd, cull lambs 5s 7d. There was a fair yarding of cattle, all selling except four head. Eighteen months steers £2 12s 6d, 14 months steers £2 3s 6d, heifers 375.
