FOOTBALL.
, ALBION CLUB. The annual meeting of the Albion Footoall Club was held in the Empire Hotel last evening. Mr J. Wickens presided, and there were twentythree members present. ■ The annual report and balancesheet was read and adopted. The following officers were elected for the ensuing year:—President, Mr C. A. Pownall; Vice-Presidents, Messrs J. Cress, J.-Wickens, senr., F. S. Cooper; Captain, Mr J. Wickens; Secretary, Mr T. Flaws; Auditor, Mr C. Corbett; Management Committee, Messrs C. Corbett, H. Allen, W. Logan, G. Jackson, and F. O'Connor; Delegates to the Wairarapa Thursday Rugby Union, Messrs J. Wickens, T. Flaws and F. O'Connor. It was decided to enter a team for the Saturday Junior Championship. It was decided to play the Petone Juniors on Easter Monday at Masterton. I Eulogistic reference was made to the services the retiring secretary {Mr F. O'Connor) had rendered the •club, and he was accorded a hearty ■vote of thanks.
A meeting of the Red Star Juniors •will be held in the Y.M.C.A. Building, on Friday evening, at 8 o'clock. . A match has been arranged to take .place in Wellington on Easter Saturday, between the Masterton and Oriental Clubs. Members of the local Club who are prepared to make the trip are requested to communicate with the secretary. A practice •will be held on the Showgrounds on Saturday next amongst members of the Masterton Club. All members and intending members are requested to attend. The annual meeting of the Masterton Club will be held in the Y.M.C.A. Rooms on Wednesday, March 27th. The Y.M.C.A. team will hold a practice, this afternoon, in Fraser's paddock.
