HUIA HOCKEY CLUB.
The annual meeting of the Huia Hockey Club was held in S. Matthew's Choir Vestry, last evening. The Vicar (Rev. A. M. Johnson) occupied the chair, and there was a good attendance of members. The balance sheet of last season was presented, and showed a balance in hand,of £5 lGs 6d. The secretaryreported that Mr James Macara had kindly allowed the club the use of his ground in Lansdowne again. On the motion of Miss R. Hooper, a veryhearty vote of thanks was accorded to Mr Macara. The following officers were elected: —President, Mrs A. M. Johnson; Vice-Presidents, Mrs Hoskir.g, Mr J. Macara, Mr A. Ei Rees, Mr A. C. Pragnell; Captain, Miss R. Hooper; Vice-Captain, Miss M. Sutton; Secretary, Miss 0. Richards; General Commitee, Misses Wagg, Elsie Smith, M. Smith, Hooper and Monk; Selection Committee, Misses Hooper, Sutton and Richards. Nine new members were elected. It was resolved to open the seasonwith a practice game on Easter Monday. Two medals were promised to the best players in the team this season.
