A STEAMER WRECKED.

Received March 18, 11.32 p.m. LONDON, March 18. The steamer Suevic struck the rocks under the lighthouse at Lizard Point, during a fog, on Sunday night. A rough south-west gale was blowing. Three lifeboats have been sent to rescue the passengers. No danger to life is anticipated. A tug has been summoned to assist. Received March 18, 11.48 p.m. LONDON, March 18. The steamer struck the rocks at 5 o'clock in the morning. Four hundred passengers and the crew, numbering 160, were gradually landed, the lifeboats assisting the Suevic boats in the work of landing. The inhabitants are providing every comfort. Many women and children were early brought ashore. Splendid discipline was preserved, and everybody was saved.
