"MASTERTON CLUB. ~., A meeting of the senior members «f the Masterton Football Club'was held in the Y.M.C.A. Rooms, on ; Sat T ., urday, for the purpose of considering ; " an invitation from the authorities to send a team to Christchurch to ! take part in the Exhibition Carni*val. ••• After considerable discussion,, it was decided to reply that it. was found impracticable to send owing to several prominent players being unable to get away. _. The question of allotting; the medals presented by Messrs A. Henderson and Gordon Eliott to last, year's team was also considered.. It was resolved to instruct theiion. secretary to send out hallot-papers to C each member, and to take a "vote amongst them. '<>'/■■' ; The annual meeting was fitfedVifdr ' Wednesday, 27th instant. A committee, consisting of Mackellar, Chapman and O'Leary, i was set up to arrange a match for Easter Saturday with the Athletic-* Club at Wellington. ='' The opening practice will be~b.eld on the Showgrounds' on next.
