A GREAT BEQUEST.
Received March 15, 7.46 a.m. NEW YORK, March 14. Mrs Sage has allotted the income of a sum of two millions sterling towards improving social and living conditions in the United States. (Mrs Sage became possessed of a sum estimated at twenty millions when her husband, the American Russell Sage, died in London ,last July. It was subsequently stated that the widow would devote large sums to charitable and public purposes).
