FIRE AT THE EXHIBITION.
By Telegraph—Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, March 11. A fire was discovered in the Cafe Restaurant at the Exhibition late on Saturday. It was found that two large tins of boiling fat were, on a gas stove, which had been carelessly left alight. The fat was just on the point of boiling over, and one tin caught alight while being lifted off the stove. The flames were beaten out with a sack. No great damage was done.
