LONDON ' MARKETS. Messrs Dalgety and Company, Ltd., Wellington, have received the following cables from London, dated the 7th instant: —Frozen Meat— There is better demand for lamb, but prices are weak. Poor demand for mutton. The market is dull, and tone generally easier. Also poor demand for beef, which has not improved by the decline in prices. We quote:—New Zealand prime crossbred lamb, Canterbury, heavy, 5Jd; light, 5Jd; North Island, heavy ! sd, light s&d. New Zealand prime cross bred mutton, Canterbury, light 4fd, heavy 4d; North Island, light 4d, heavy 3gd. New Zealand prime ox fores, 2fjd, hinds 3Jd. There is a better demand for pork at s£d. Expect the demand will continue at about the same price up to the end of June. Butter The Copenhagen official quotation is lower by 3 kroner (about 3s 4d) per cwt. The total imports of butter into the United Kingdom for the week ending the 2nd i instant amounted to 107,000cwt, as compared with 119,000cwt for the corresponding week of 1906. Increasing demand for unsalted. Tal-1 low —There is more disposition to do I business at full prices, which are higher by 3d to 6d per cwt. Wheat —Market quiet. Nothing doing.
