A VIOLENT MISTRAL.
Received March 11, 1.12 a.m. PARIS, March 10. A violent mistral is raging at Marseilles, rendering cargo handling in the harbour extremely difficult. The steamer Mongolia was obliged to shelter at Estaque, where many passengers, including Sir Joseph Ward, were conveyed ashore in a tug. (•A mistral is a violent cold northwest wind experienced in Southerr France, especially in winter, forming -a great scourge).
