MASTERTON TECHNICAL SCHOOL.
A meeting of the Masterton Technical School Managers was held in the Technical School last evening. There were'present—Messrs E. Feist (chairman), J. B. Keith, and W. H. Jackson. Mr S. Barlow Bennett, of Durham, England, wrote forwarding a specimen copy of his work on technical plumbing, also a chart containing a number of diagrams on the same subject. A vote of thanks was passed to the donor, and it was decided to recommend the work to the students attending the local plumbers' class. Miss M. Johnston was appointed instructor to the dressmaking class, vice Miss M. Gillespie, who had applied for leave of absence. It was decided to purchase a Singer sewing machine for the dressmaking class as soon as the class has been satisfactorily formed and receives recognition by the Education Department.
