(From Our Own Correspondent). TINUI, March 4. Mrs J. H. Cameron gave a most enjoyable dance on the Ist instant at Rewa Rewa.J A large number of visitors were present, and thoroughly enjoyed the hospitality extended'to them. The large drawing-room was cleared of furniture, and made a splendid ballroom. The evening was beautifully fine, and the guests, during the] intervals, thoroughly appreciated the seats in the pretty garden. Songs were sung by Mrs Reid (Wanganui), sister of the hostess, Miss King, Miss Sutton, Messrs G. W. Beard, H. Groves, and a recitation was given by Mr Oliver. A garden fete and sale of work will be held, on the 9th instant, in aid of the parsonage funds, in a paddock kindly lent for the occasion byjMr D. H. Speedy. Mrs Nevins (the secretary) and a strong committee of ladies have the arrangements well in hand, and, given fine weather, the function should be a huge success. On the ground a return cricket match between Tinui and Carswells will be played. There will also , be other amusements for children and adults. In the evening the cricketers will hold a dance till 12 o'clock.
