LONDON, March 4
Mr Keir Hardie, speaking at Hull, declared that but for the presence of the Labourites in the House of Commons there would have been no Bill for feeding hungry children in schools, no Workmen's Compensation Bill worth the paper it was written on, and the Trades Disputes Bill would have been a half-hearted settlement of the matter. The Labourites would not countenance any relief from taxation until the old age pensions had been secured. They were preparing a "Right to Work" Bill, which would create an authority to find honest work at an honest wage for every man and woman.
