THE TRANSVAAL.
Received March 4, 8.50 a.m. PRETORIA, March 3. General Louis Botha has re-arranged his Cabinet, Mr Edward P. Solomon, president of the Nationalist party, becoming Minister for Public Works, Mr Smuts Colonial Secretary and Minister for Mines, Mr Rissik Minister for Lands. Sir Richard Solomon (Nationalist), who was defeated by Sir Percy Fitzpatrick (Progressive) for Pretoria, declined to join the Cabinet. Received March 4, 9.35 p.m. PRETORIA, March 4. It is officially announced that General Louis Botha becomes Premier and Minister of Agriculture, Mr Jacob de Villiers Attorney-General and Minister for Mines, and Mr Rissik Minister for Lands and Native Affairs. Mr Smuts, in a letter to Mr J. X. Merriman, warmly acknowledges the support the Het Vlok received from, the British community, without which the victory gained would have been impossible.
