DUNEDIN, March 4. The Burnside hands have resumed work.

CHRISTCHURCH, March 4,

There is no change in the position with regard to the strike. The delegates appointed by the men, on Saturday evening, held a meeting today, and went into the details of the rflen's demands. The companies report that, so far as they are con] cerned, nothing has transpired. The Union is now properly constituted, and is in working order. INVERCARGILL, March '4. There have been no significant developments in the strike in Southland during the last few days. The men at Mataura finished killing the special lines for owners to-day, and left the works. The company intend to spend this week overhauling the machinery. They say that their advertisement for new men is receiving a fair response, and they hope to resume regular killingoperations with a "new board" on Monday. The Ocean Beach men finished killing the special lines tonight. The Wallacetown men are still killing for owners on the same conditions, but expect to finish tomorrow morning.
