SEDDON MEMORIAL.

By Telegraph—Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, March 3. Over 3,000 people attended the sacred concert given by the Besses-o'-th'-Barn Band on the Exhibition Sports Ground this afternoon by way of a memorial to the late Mr R. J. Seddon. The takings at the gates amounted to £446 9s 6d, which will be increased to over £SOO from the sale of programmes, and reserved seats. This amount will be handed over by the band to Mrs Seddon, to be applied by her to which ever of the Seddon Memorial Funds she may decide on.
