Received March 2, 6.25 p.m. FLEMINGTON, March 2. The following are the results of today's races: — Hopeful Stakes. —Verenice 1, Miss Malster 2, Lady Verenice won by a head. Time, lrnin 3Jsec. St. Leger Handicap.—Poseidon 1, Booran 2, Benbow 3. Poseidon went to the front from the start, led all the way, and won by two and a half lengths. The same distance separated second and third. Time. 3min X6sec. NEWMARKET HANDICAP. Ebullition ... 1 North Head ... 2 Collarit ... 3 All started. From a good start Pomlofs, Stepout, lolaire and Tortive were first to show up. Crossing the tan Ellis got in front, followed by Pomlofs and Istria, the next showing in the bunch being Grenadier and Dora Grey. Istria went to the front, and maintained the lead at the distance. Collarit came with a good run, and was chased hard by Ebullition and North Head. Af terja good racejup the straight, Ebullition won by a neck, half a length separating second and third.
