NATIVE LANDS COMMISSION

NAPIER, March 3.
The Native Lands Commission met, on Saturday, when a lengthy statement was submitted from a number of Natives interested in the Waimarama Block praying that .a court be set up to speedily hear and determine the application for the partition of the said land, and that legislation might not be passed by which the lands might be compulsorily taker ©r that would prevent them leasing their lands to whom they desired.
