KNOX CHURCH.
YOUNG MEN'S BIBLE CLASS. A meeting of the members of the Young Men's Bible Class m connection with Knox Church was held in the Wenvoe Tea Rooms, last evening, when there were twenty-two members present. It. was decided to form a Hockey Club, and the following c6mmittee was appointed to make arrangements : —Messrs R. McGregor, Galley, M. Martin, Winchester, W. Joy, C* Ibbetson, De Lisle, MeHattje, Miller, Milne, H. Miller, and Sutton. The Rev. A. T. Thompson's offer to set apart the lawn in front of the Manse as a tennis court was accepted with thanks, and the following were appointed a Tennis Committee: — Messrs A. Donald, P. Gordon, and the Rev. Thompson. The election of officers resulted as follows-Leader, Rev. A. T. Thompson; Secretary and Treasurer, Mr Sutton; Class Artist, Mr C. Ibbetson ; Librarian, Mr S. Hogg; Singing Leader, Mr F. W. G. McLeod; Committee, Messrs McFarlane, McGregor, McHattie, and A. Donald, and officers ex-officio. A syllabus was drawn up and i t was decided to have it printed. The evening was then spent in a social manner. The following toasts were honoured: "Presbyterian Church and its Work," Dr. Cowie— Rev. A. T. Thompson; "Young Men's Movement in the Colony," Mr R. Young —Mr F. W. G. McLeod; "Knox Church Class," Mr A. Donald. Refreshments were provided. Songs were sung by Messrs C. Ibbetson and M. J. Gordon. A vote of thanks to Misses Thomas for the use of the room and to the Chairman concluded the meeting.
