ATTEMPT ON THE LIFE OF A GRAND DUKE. Received February 28, 8.27 a.m. ST. PETERSBURG, Feb. 27. A box containing a dynamite bomb was found on a railway at St. Petersburg. It is believed that the bomb indicates an attempt on the life of the Grand Duke Nicholas, who was due from the Tsarkoe Selo Palace, about 15 miles south of St. Petersburg. Received Last Night, 9.45 o'clock. ST. PETERSBURG, Feb. 28. The attempt on the life of the Grand Duke Nicholas has been officially confirmed. The criminal used a skeleton key to gain admittance to Tsarskoesels Station, and piaced the bombs on a rail three minutes before the Duke started. The Duke's train war; brought to St. Petersburg by •another line. The Duke returned to Tsarskoeseld the same evening. Received Last Night, 10.55 o'clock. ST. PETERSBURG, Feb. 23. The author of the Tsarskoeselc attempt was a youth in the uniform of the Imperal Railway Engineers. He was seen escaping through the gate, and disappeared in a sleigh. The Czar will not now attend the opening of the Duma. His speech will be made by proxy.
THE TUICKUM RISING. Received Last Night, 9.56 o'clock. ST. PETERSBURG, Feb 28. Seventeen participators in the Tuk;kum rising have been executed. A COMMANDANT SHOT DEAD. Received Last Night, 9.45 o'clock, ST. PETERSBURG, Feb. 28. The town commandant at Krinoyarsk was shot dead in the street. The assassin escaped.
