At Flemingtori this morning Grenadier ran 5 furlongs in lmin ssec, and Dividend and Blue Spec 12 furlongs in 2min 49sec. Pompus beat Melodrama over 6 furlongs, covered in lmin 19£ sec. Realm went half a mile in 53sec, and Curtain Lecture and Ortive 6 furlongs in lmin 20J Bsc. Ebullition beat True Scot in a 6-furlong spin, done in lmin 20Jsec. Isisford and Scotland galloped half a mile in 50£ sec, and Benbow a mile in lmin 54sec. Ellis has been backed for the Newmarket Handicap for £5,000, and is now at 12 to 1. Istria is quoted at 4| to 1, Newbury at 8 to 1, North Head a 10 to 1, and Decolette, Pompous and Collar it each at 12 to 1. For the Australian Cup, Realm is favourite at 4 to 1, with Ellis and Antonius next in demand. MASTERTON RACING CLUB. NOMINATIONS. Nominations for all evpnts, except the Maiden Hack Race, to be run at the Club's Autumn Meeting, on March 21st and 22nd next, will close with the secretary, Mr A. Hathaway, at 9.30 p.m. on Friday, Mai*ch Ist. The Tinui Hack Racing Club will hold a race meeting on the property of Mr W. A. Liverton, near Blairlogie .Junction, on March 30th. The stewards of the club have arranged a satisfactory programme, and have every reason to anticipate a successful meeting.
