The M.C.C.-Hawke's Bay ; cricket match was resumed this morning, and was soon concluded, Hawke's Bay being disposed of for 160, leaving the visitors victors by an innings and 80 runs. Lusk made 65 runs (not out), having shown capital form. Harrison took 4 wickets for 61; Curwen, 3 for 47; Torrens, 2 for 28; and Fox, 1 for 17. ' M.C.C. v. NEW ZEALAND. By Telegraph—Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, Last Night. The Hon. Secretary of the New Zealand Cricket Council has received advice that the English team for the first te&t match, commencing at Christchurch on Thursday, will be as follows:—De Trafford, Johnson, Harrison, Burns, Douglas, Page, Branston, Simpson-Hayward, Torrens, Fox, and May. The Masterton Cricket Association's Senior and Junior Competitions will he continued on Thursday no\t. The fotmwi'-.ff Senior matches will bj commenced: —Star A v. "Carlton A, on the Park Oval; Carterton A v. Carlton B, at Carterton. For the Junior Championship Star B will play Carterton B, at Carterton.
