. MASTERTON HORSE SALE. Messrs > Dalgety and Company, ! Ltd., held a horse sale at Masterton, last Saturday, when about 120 horses were submitted, of which half were draughts and the balance light horses. There was a large attendance of buyers, but the demand was not so good as at last sale, and the i noumber of horses was considerably in excess of requirements. However, before the close of the sale, a large proportion changed hands. A heavydraught colt, on account of Mr G. Shaw, sold at £39, and a filly, on account of same vendor, £4B 10s. Draughts on account of Mr R. D. Knight £37 to £4B, on account of other vendors £22 10s to £3O; express horses on account Messrs Hoult and Sons £25 to £26; a stylish horse on account Mr H. V. Dyke £27; on other vendors' account good hacks sold to £l3 10s, aged horses to £7, pair ponies £ls; on account Mr H. Hume, unbroken ponies £l4, year- ( lings and 2-year-olds £4 to £7 10s. '' FEILDING SHEEP FAIR. ' Messrs Abraham and Williams report that at the Feildirig Sheep Fair they yarded over 6,000 sheep|and with the exception of one line of ewes they had a total clearance. Quotations2-tooth wethers 13s to 15s lOd, 2-tooth ewes 15s to 15s 3d and 16s, 4yr and syr ewes. 12s 4d, 12s 6d, 14s 7d and 15s, mixed age ewes 15s, 16s and |l6s 3d, f.m. ewes lis to 12s, small lambs 7s 6d and Bs, woolly lambs 9s, rape lambs 9s 6d, 9s 9d and 9s lid.
