By Telegraph—Press Association. ASHBURTON, February 23. There have been several splendid showers of rain during the week, about two inches having fallen in that time. The grass is springing, and the prospects for winter feed are good. The Government, having decided not to purchase the Laghmor Estate ,which consists of about 18,000 acres, the owner Mr G. A. M. Buckley, intends to subdivide about ten thousand acres of the estate into thirty farms, and offer them for sale by auction.
