M.C.C. v. HAWKE'S BAY. By Telegraph—Press Association. NAPIER, February 22. The M.C.C. cricket team commenced their match against the Hawke's Bay team to-day. Branston, May and Simpson-Hayward are standing out of the team. The visitors won the toss and remained at the wickets all the afternoon, the last wicket falling just on the call of time with the score at 394. All the batsmen, except Williams arid Harrison, reached double . figures. Tufnell made 85, Torrens 87, Burns 52, and De Trafford 28 not out. The match will be continued to-morrow.
