A CORRECTION.

To the Editor. Sir, —I wish to draw your attention to an error in your report of the Anti-Chinese meeting held in the Drill Hall last evening, with a view of correction, and thereby save any misconstruction. You state in your to-day's issue that there were ! 1287 Chinese less in the colony in 1906 than there were in 1901. The correct figures are 287, not 1287, as •Sjl, stated in your report. Would you , ' kindly correct this statement in your . next issue, and oblige, A JOHN CAMERON. ** Masterton, Feb. 19, 1907.
