A GERMAN MURDER.
LONDON, February 15, A tailor named Bayerl has been arrested on a charge of complicity in the murder of Miss Lake. (It was cabled from Berlin, on February 11th, that Alfred' Land, a clerk at Essen, had surrendered himself for this murder on October Ist. Miss Madeline Lake, an English lady, 39 years of age, staying with German friends near Essen, took a short cut to their residence at dusk, through a wood, from which she never emerged; The body was found with the head battered in. There were indications of a desperate struggle for life.)
