ANGLO-JAPANESE ALLIANCE.

A MISSION TO BRITAIN. Received February 14, 9.13 a.m. TOKIO, February 13. The Anglo-Japanese Alliance was the subject of some speeches at a banquet at Tokio. Viscount Hayashi, Minister for Foreign Affairs, said that the alliance was strengthened with a growing sense of friendship between the two countries. Major-, H. C. Lowther, Councillor of the British Embassy, said that King Edward's present advisers cordially endorsed the alliance, and were striving to faithfully execute its stipulations in accordance with the desire of the whole of Great Britain. Prince Fumshimi has left Tokio on a mission of friendship to England.
