EXPLOSION AT WOOLWICH.
Received February 12, 8.51 a.m. LONDON, February 11. An explosion at the chemical reseax*ch department attached to the Woolwich arsenal shook the town, the concussion shattering- the windows of fifty shops and many dwellings. There were no fatalities. The building was within the danger zone at Plumstead Marshes. The shock was felt for thirty miles. The damage is estimated at £20,000.
