FATAL ACCIDENT.
By Telegraph—Press Association. AUCKLAND, February 10. While working in the Talisman mine at Xarangahake, ■on Saturday, a fall of earth pinned down a miner, named. Patrick McGarry/ badly smashing one of his legs and almost tearing a foot off. The injuries were temporarily attended to at Paeroa, and McCarrv was sent on to the Thames Hospital, but died on the way down. ■ The deceased was a single man about 30 yearsfof age.
