PALMEKSTON NORTH STOCK SALE. JH Messrs Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report on their Palmerston North sale, held on Thursday, as follows :—We had an entry -of over 4,000 sheep. All classes met a good demand, and a clearance was made at atisfactory prices. Cattle were in short supply and prices showed an improvement on recent sales. Quotations :—Twortooth Romney ewes 17s 7d to 18s Id, 12s 6d to 13s 4d, others 9s to lis lid, woolly lambs lis lOd, shorn lambs * 9s 3d to 10s 7d, cull lambs 5s 6d to 7s 4d; two and four-tooth wethers 14s to 14s 9d, fat two-tooth wethers 16s, 18-month steers 38s 6d to 41s, yearling steers 27s 6d to 30s, 18month and two-year heifers 25s 6d to 31s, 2£-year steers £3 4s, good weaners 14s 6d, others 4s to Bs, cows and calves 325, bulls 25s 6d. .. .
