STOCK MARKET.
MASTERTON STOCK SALE. Messrs Abi'aham and Williams Ltd., report as follows on their Masterton stock sale held yesterday:— We submitted a full yarding in both sheep and cattle. Bidding at auction for sheep was irregular the best sorts in all classes meeting with a ready sale. A prime line of ewes from Mr John Strang topped the market so far this season, making 15s 2d. Good sound breeding ewes were well competed for as were all lots of sound healthy lambs. Wethers, of which there were a fair yarding, were hard to quit. We succeeded in clearing the whole of the catalogue in sheep, with the exception of one line of wethers and a small lot of lambs. Cattle were dull in the extreme, and it was a difficult matter to get a bid of any sort for most of the lots submitted. A good yarding of pigs met with a ready sale.
