WEDDINGS.

+ STEPHENS-BRAGGINS. At S. Matthew's Church, yesterday,Mr George Stephens, of ton, was married to Miss Beatrice Braggins, second daughter of the late Mr T. Braggins. The,bride, who was given away by her brother, Mr Charles Braggins, was handsomely attired in embroidered cream voile, trimmed with accordeon - pleated chiffon, and ribbons and lace: She also wore the orthodox veil and orange blossoms. The bridesmaids were Misses Constance Braggins, and Eva and Violet Hayes. Miss Braggins wore cream delaine, and the Misses Hayes were attired in silk muslin. Mr G. W. Williamson was best man, and the ceremony was performed by the Rev. A. M. - Johnson, M.A. A large number of guests were ( present at the. reception held subsequently in the Foresters' Hall. The bridegroom's present to the bride was a handsome gold brooch set with garnet and pearls. The bridegroom presented the chief bridesmaid (Miss Braggins) with a gold band ring, and each of the younger bridesmaids with a gold brooch.

Mr and Mrs Stephens left by the 6.15 p.m. train for the North. The bride's travelling dress was a silver grey costume with hat to match. SMART—SIMPSON.

At St. Mark's Church, Carterton yesterday, Mr L. H. Smart, second son of r *Sergt. W; W. Smart, of Hastings, was married to Miss Wilhelmina Simpson, eldest daughter of Mr Andrew Simpson, of Carterton. Misses Elsie Smart and Elsie Simpson were the bridesmaids, and Mr H. Madsen was best man.

MULDROCK—BAGGARLEY. At Carterton, yesterday, Miss Clarice Ethelyn Baggarley, youngest daughter of Mr James Baggarley, of Carterton, was married to Mr H. J. Muldrock, of Wanganui.
