WOOL FIRES COMMISSION.

The Wool Fires Commission to-day took the evidence of Captain Forsdeck, of the steamer Orari, who was master of the Waimate when two separate fires broke out in the cargo of that 'vessel. One fire, he said, broke out among the flax and tow that was not near any wool. When water was put down the hold heating was evident in a very short time. In the second fire r - / five bales were burned. This wool had been shipped at Lyttelton. One bale, when hoisted on deck, (burst into flame.
