MASTERTON FIRE BRIGADE.
The ordinary meeting of the Masterton Municipal Fire Brigade was held last evening. Captain Jenkins presided, and there were twenty-six members present. Apologies for absence were received from Firemen Berry, Harding and Maher. The Secretary reported that the average attendance during the month of January had been Alarms, 19 4-5; meetings, 23. Correspondence was received from the U.F.B.A. with reference to the team and delegate to visit Christchurch in March. A letter was received from the Municipal Brass Band thanking the Brigade for their support at the recent Band Sports. Fireman H. Ewington tendered his resignation as a member of the Brigade, which was accepted with regret. A month's leave of absence was granted to Fireman Jackson. Captain Jenkins applied for a two years' service bar.
