AMERICA AND JAPAN.
THE SCHOOL TROUBLE IN CALIFORNIA. ReceivedjFebruary 5, 8.26 a.m. NEW YORK, February 4. President Roosevelt has arranged a provisional agreement with Japan regarding thejschool trouble in California, and will submit it to the Californian school officials to prevent a misinterpretation. Mr Roosevelt will also appeal to the State's commonsense and patriotism to effect a settlement of the difficulty.
