PAHIATUA STOCK SALE RE- J PORT. , The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., report at their fortnightly stock sale at 1 Pahiatua, yesterday, as, follows:—We had a good yarding in sheep of all classes. < Bidding for all lines was a little in and out, and some of the inferior lots hung fire; however, before the close of sale we had effected a clearance. In cattle the • entries were mostly cows and young cattle. This class of stock showed little improvement in price, still we succeeded .in selling every pen either by>'suption or private treaty. Best breeding ewes nlade 14s, others 10s to 12s, culls 6s to 7s 6d, rape lambs 8s to 8s 6d, stores 6s 6d to 7s 6d, culls 3s to ss, 2-tooth ewes and wethers 13s to 13s, 6d, 2-year steers 60s, 18-month steers 50s, yearlings 30s to 395, heifers 255, store cows 26s to 30s, weaners 5s to 9s.
