TRIAL OF HARRY THAW.
Received January 25, 8.17 a.m. NEW YORK, January 24. The trial of Harry Thaw, the Pittsburg millionaire, for the shooting of Stanford White has begun. Two hundred jurors were summoned, but only two were empanelled yesterday. Thirty objections were made, the prosecution insisting that jurors must return their verdict upon the written law, and not be influenced by the so-called "unwritten law" of private vengeance.
