EXHIBITION TOURNAMENT. By Telegraph-—Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, January 22. The New Zealand Exhibition Tournament was concluded to-night with the final of the Double-handed Championship. The weather to-day was splendid for the concluding games, and the Canterbury Green much keener than usual. In the afternoon, however, a strong nor'-wester proved rather puzzling and was responsible for a considerable amount of inferior play. In the Doubles Championship Sneddon and Crawford (Kaituna/, , Dunedin) proved the winners,; with Johnson* and Smith (Dunedin) the runners-up. Wallace and Haines secured third place, and McDonald and |Buchanari fourth. The Singles Championship fell to Brackenridge (Victoria, > Wellington), Sneddon (/'■ (Kaituna, Dunedin) j being second, Pindlay (Invercargill) third, and 0. J. Wilson (Gore) fourth. In addition '■' ■ to the tournament games, rinks representing Dunedin met and defeated a couple of Wellington teams. Tomorrow morning a three-rink match will oe played between Dunedin and Christchurch. The results are as, follows:-'—Doubles Championship.— Sixth round: Johnson and Smith (18) beat Craighead and Harrison (12). Semi-finals: Johnson and Smith (17) beat Wallace and Hain' (15). Finals for first and second places: Crawford and Sneddon (20) beat Johnson and Smith. (19). For second and third: Wallace, and Hain beat McDonald and Buchanan, 23—15. Singles Championship.—Sixth round: Sneddon (15) beat Wallace (12), Brackenbridge (14) b,eat Barnett (13). .. Semi-final: , Sneddon (15) beat Findlay (12), - ~ son (10). AUCKLAND v. NEW SOUTH WALES. ''';, AUCKLAND, January 2. A match, five rinks a-side, was played between the New South Wales and Auckland bowlers to-day, on the Auckland Club's Green. The turf was fast and true, and though the visitors opened none too well, they improved as the game .progressed, and won on the aggregate by 15 points, scoring 104 to 89. The rubber will be played to-morrow-four rinks a-side.
