The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, report on their Eketahuna fortnightly stock sale, yesterday, as follows:—Sheep were well represented, and the quality generally good; but the vendors' reserves were in most cases rather prohibitive, consequently the bulk of the entries did not change hands. Cattle offered in large numbers, but dull of sale, only the best sort in steers and young cattle selling. Good sound ewes made up to 14s, ordinary 10s, culls Bs, lambs (medium) i 7s to Bs, 2 and 3-year steers £3 to £3 12s 6d, yearling to 18-month steers 30s to 395, heifers 25s to 28s, store cows 40s.
