BOROUGH PARK COMMITTEE.

The Borough Park Committee met, last evening, when there were present:— Crs J. C. Ewington (chairman), F. W. Temple, J. Elliott and W. Morris. It was decided to allow the St. Patrick's Day Sports Association the use of the I ark on March 14th, at the same rental as last year and the free use of the tea kiosk on account of the donation they 'had paid towards its erection. It was decided to allow Mr F. W. Parker to run his stock on the land adjoining the Park until March 31st at the same rental that he has been paying in the past to the School Commissioners. The Commitee resolved to visit the Park on Monday next in order to inspect the extension of fencing, stopbank, the progress of the excavation for the public baths and other matters. The custodian of the Park was instructed to give information to Inspector Cairns as to any person committing a breach of by-law No.. 4 with regard to riding bicycles through the Park with a view to prosecution. It was resolved that if the Amateur Athletic Club make, a donation towards the cost of the tea kiosk, to allow them the use of it on January 22nd, free of charge. • A vote of thanks was accorded to Mr T. G. Hoar for his gift of a marble tablet, which has been set in the tea kiosk in the Park. A vote of thanks was also accorded to Messrs Pickering Bro=. for carrying out plumbing work at the tea kiosk. It was resolved to meet on Wednesday next to consider the question of holding a garden party in the Park on the evening of the first day of the Show. The Committee decided to call applications for the lease of the tea kiosk for the remainder of the season to March 31st, (excepting St. Patrick's Day). Conditions concerning the use of the ( kiosk by the, band and access to the ladies cloak-room were framed by the Committee.
