THE MEAT TRADE.
Received January 13, 4.57 p.m. LONDON, January 12,
Wedell's Annual Review of the Meat Trade states that the consumption of frozen and chilled meat in the United Kingdom is equal to 26 per cent, of the total consumption. The outlook for 1907 is good. The drought in the" Argentine and New Zealand may result in early shipments, being made. • This would cause a reduction in numbers later, and so it is expected that average prices will be fully equal to 1906.
