MISS MARIE NARELLE.

Miss Marie Nai'elle made her reappearance in the Masterton Town Hall, last evening, when there was a fair audience. The artiste, whose singing attracted such attention on her previous visit to Masterton, made an equally good impression last evening. She was received with enthusiasm'. Miss Narelle was in good voice, and her numerous songs were thoroughly enjoyed. Every item was encored, and in some instances she was recalled twice. Her opening item was Moore's "Meeting of the Waters," which was sung with fine effect. The singer was next heard in the well-known old Scotch "song "Bonnie Banks of Loch Lomond," of which she gave a beautiful rendering. When Miss Narelle next appeared she sang Bordesi's "Vashti," and she was vociferously encored. In response she delighted her hearers with "Rory o' More" and "Comin' Thro' th' Rye." These item were followed by "Kate O'Shane" and "Song of Thanksgiving" (Allitsen), the latter being a really good item. In response to an encore she rendered "Kathleen Mavourneen" with splendid effect. Her last number, the Irish air "O'Donnell Aboo," was warmly applauded. A duet by Miss Narelle and Mr Fentress was encored. The splendid tenor voice of Mr Chester Fentress pleased the audience very much. He was encored on each occasion on which he sang. His items were "Beloved It Is Morn," "Banks of Allan Water" "Chauson Gireole," "Fill a Glass of Golden Wine," "I'm Sitting on the Style Mary," and "Roseen Dhu." Miss Constance Brandon Usher's .pianoforte playing was much admired. Her two solos "Ballad in A Flat," and "Caprice Espagnol," were loudly applauded. She also played the accompaniments to Miss Narelle's and Mr Fentress' songs.
