(From Our Own Correspondent). Wednesday. The temperature at noon to-day was 85 degrees in the shade, and 122 degrees in the sun. It has been the hottest day experienced this summer. Water is becoming scarce in the district, and the wells are running dry. Mr W. Barton, manager of the local creamery, is laid with influenza.
