MISS MARIE NARELLE.
Miss Marie Narelle will give a concert in the Masterton Town Hall on Friday, January 11th. The Sydney Daily Telegraph, says:—"lt was a crowded audience at the Town Hall on Saturday night (a wet evening) that most heartily welcomed back Miss Marie Narelle. The returned Australian was greeted with the warmth that is only accorded to the singer who can touch the hearts of the people in the people's own songs. Appreciation of Miss Narelle's good qualities in this respect had been intensified by the story of her rapid successes in America and the United Kingdom. To the consciousness of these triumphs was due, no doubt, the prolonged demonstration, which must have assured the popular singer that she Was facing a host of friends; friends who rejoiced with her in the good fortune which had rewarded her pluck and perseverance in the face of the most forbidding obstacles."
