Trial Hack Handicap, 6 furlongs— Wairarapa 9.11, Bai'ley 9.7, Shamrock 8.7, Investment 8.5, Lawn Rose 8.3, Hill Spring and Sweet Hill 7.10, .Squillian,Cheque,Keel, Lord Brassey, Cherry, and The Ghost 7.7. Nelson Cup, 1J mile. —Abaydos 9.2, Narcotic and White Ribbon 8.10, Dexterity 8.8, The Voucher and Coxswain 7.7, Blue Spur, Tynan and Rosie 6.7. District Hack Handicap, 6 furlongs. —Wairarapa 10.1, Chief Officer and Rangiuru 8.13, Quarry Girl 8.3, Reel, Lord Brassey, The. Ghost and ■Cherry 7.7. Grandstand Handicap, 6 furlongs. —White Ribbon 9.0, Red Cross 8.9, The Voucher 8.5, Blessbok 7.7, Lacey 7.5, Rosie 6.7. Hope Handicap, 1 mile.—Wairajrapa 9.2, Marstone 8.13, Runanga 8.11, Strathfillan 8.9, Chief Officer 7.9, Blue Spur 7.3, Lawn Rose, Glorina and Rosie 7.2.
PAHIATUA NOMINATIONS. Nominations for all events at the Pahiatua Racing Club's annual race meeting, on January 30th and 31st. ■will close with the secretary, Mr G., L. Hawley Drew, Pahiatua, at 9 o'clock, to-night. DANNEVIRKE RACING CLUB. ANNUAL MEETING. The annual race meeting of the Dannevirke Racing Club will be held on March 6th and 7th next, for which the stewards have arranged a liberally endowed programme, published elsewhere, of sixteen events. The total stakes amount to 1,400 sovs, 785 sovs. being allotted to the first day's races and 615 sovs to the events run on the second day. The principal events are the Dannevirke Cup (200 sovs) on the first day, and the Autumn Handicap (125 sovs) on the second day. Four other events are awarded 100 sovs . each and one 110 sovs. ' The remaining races are allotted sums varying from, 50 to 75 sovs, second and third money being paid in each event. Nominations for all events, except the Trial and Shorts Handicaps, will close with the secretary; Mr Jas. Spiers Freeman, at 9.30 p.m. on Monday, February 11th.
