WAIRARAPA AMATEUR ATHLETIC ASSOCIATION.

ANNUAL MEETING. The Wairarapa Amateur Athletic Association will hold a sports meeting on the Park Oval on Tuesday, January 22nd. An attractive programme has been drawn up, and includes a 100 yards maiden race, 100 yards handicap, 220 yards handicap, 440 yards handicap, 880 yards handicap, 1-mile handicap, 2-mile handicap, 120 yards hurdles, 1-mile walk, high jump, long jump, throwing the heavy hammer, putting the shot, teams relay race, club championship 220 yards, fancy costume race, and Public Schools boys' championship. There are also three bicycle races, (1 mile, H mile and 3 miles), for which cash prizes of £3 and £1 10s are given. Prizes will also be given for bagpipe music (marches and reels and strathspeys). Entries will close with the secretary, Mr V. G. Darroch, and Mr S. Robinson, Wellington, on January lpth.
