The New Zealand International Congress resumed this morning when the eighth round was played with the following results:— Forsyth beat Sexton, Crackenthorp beat Gould, Edwards beat Pleasants, Parker beat Kelling, Davies beat B. Mason, Cummings beat Grierson, Viner beat W. Mason, James v. Sainsbury, draw, Kummer v.fGifford draw. The ninth round was commenced at 7 p.m. Stewart beat Edwards, Barnes beat . Kelling, Crackenthorp beat James, Viner beat Davies, Giffprd beat Sexton, Pleasants beat Forsyth, B. Mason v. Parker draw, Sainsbury v. J. Mason and Grierson v. Gould unfinished.
